June Practices & Safety Protocols

Please take the time to read this information below and the attached document (click on the article title to see the PDF).

Practices & Safety Guidelines
We’ve been working hard to organize practices for the month of June. The fields we had slated for the Spring are not available to us due to circumstances related to Covid-19, but we have found alternatives. Your team managers will be sending you more information specific to your athlete’s team in the next day or so.

Based on CDC, State and US Club protocols, we have created strict guidelines for all families to follow in order for this to work safely. It will be very important for you to read and follow these guidelines. Practices will be once a week and are no-contact practices — conditioning and foot skills, and some passing drills. Teams with more than 15 players with be split up into 2 sessions. It will be important to RSVP for practices so the coach knows who to expect.

Tryouts & Registration
Normally, in the beginning of June we would hold Spring tryouts to determine our next season’s invitations for Fall rosters. This year is different. ALL current carded players are guaranteed their spot in the 20-21 OPFC season. Near the end of June, we will open up registration for next season through our website.

New Players!
You and your players are our best promoters. If you know of any stellar athletes that you’d like to see come play for OPFC, please send them our way. Diane is keeping track of all potential new players. So, in addition to directing potential players to our website, please alert us with the name and contact information of the interested families. You can reach us at opfccle@gmail.com Interested families can visit our website and register for the “tryout” at www.opfccle.com at no cost. Our updated website has great information about the club.

We are looking to build a new U9 (2012) team for boys and a new U10 (2011) team for the girls, and add players to all other teams as well.

If you have any questions about anything covered here, don’t hesitate to ask.

Thank you and stay well!
